Hi there! We are bike messengers by day, aspiring actors by night, and this is our wedding blog. We live in Austin Texas, have a great dog named Ruby, we like oysters from Clark’s with a splash of Grüner Veltliner to wash ’em down. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.) Wait, only part of that is true, and we’re sure you know which parts. That’s why we love you and have invited you to celebrate OUR WEDDING! When to wed?
The fun starts at 6:30 on November 8, 2014. That’s also Amanda’s dad’s birthday – wish him a happy one as we hijack his lap-around-the-sun fun for our wedding nuptials!
Where to wed?
Springdale Farms parking at 752 Mansell Ave.
Where to stay?
The venue is ~3 miles east of the center of downtown, so any hotel (or Airbnb, Homeaway, etc) that is downtown or central will work. There are a block of rooms reserved at the Hilton Austin for Amanda and Kyle’s wedding. There aren’t any events planned at the hotel, but since Austin can get a little crowded, we’ve gotten these reserved http://bit.ly/1qgO89G until October 17th.
What to wear?
Attire is “farm chic”. What does that mean? Who knows. Wear what you like. We will be in our finest 🙂
Note: The venue is entirely outside, with plenty of walking through grass, gravel and mulch. High heels will be challenging. Check the weather leading up to the date – it’s a rain or shine event, barring force majeure – and we’ll get tents and heaters accordingly.
What to do with my kids?
Oh, you bred! Now what? Some people wanna night to escape. Some people wanna bring their kids. We’re fine with either – just make sure you RSVP’d with The Littles mentioned so that we can make sure to have enough kiddie vittles on hand.
What about my dietary restrictions?
Let us know about specific dietary restrictions and we’ll aim to accommodate. It will be nut free. The cake? The cake will have gluten. Lenoir is catering, the meal is family style…we have some wiggle room to get specific dishes to specific people with some advance notice.
Did you really just say Lenoir is catering?
